Flamewing gave one last sob and quickly collected herself. The important work was about to begin.

"Put your hands on my head and inject your Scion Lord grade healing magic into it. We need to establish a neural connection with my brain. With your Scion Lord grade healing magic, we will be creating a stronger and far more stable connection. I should be able to traverse the arcane pathway and re-enter my body…" Flamewing explained.

"Should be able to?? You mean it's not a sure thing?" Alexander asked Flamewing in surprise.

"I uhh… I am basing this process on how soul fusions work. For a soul fusion to be carried out, first a neural connection between the brains of the two participants have to be made, and then the secondary soul has to traverse that connection willingly to enter the host soul's body. And then slowly, over time, the souls will fuse. Once a neural connection has been made between our bodies, I should be able to go back… Unless…" Flamewing hesitated.

"Unless?" Alexander prompted.

"Unless… Never mind. Let's try this first." Flamewing said.

"Alright." At this point, Alexander has already reached the other five massive dragons.

"Flamebright, step back. Let the Scion Lord have a look at her." Blackfire said softly. However, even so, everybody could hear his voice.

"Scion Lord?" A hauntingly beautiful voice sounded from the red dragon who still had her wings draped protectively over Flamewing's body.

"Yes. Step back. He says he is able to help." Blackfire said gently but firmly.

"My name is Alexander, Lady Flamebright. Flamewing's soul is within my body." Alexander dropped the bombshell without preamble.

"What-what did you say?" Flamebright was stunned. Immediately, she transformed into a beautiful woman. She had luxurious red robes that completely covered but failed to conceal the wondrous curves of her body.

"WHAT?!" Blackfire lost his cool and asked in a loud voice.

"It's a long story, but to make it short, I am from planet Earth, my soul was moved by Symphonians into this body whose host had died. Flamewing's soul, which was originally attached to my soul back on Earth, was moved to this body along with my soul. Now, I would like to try to let Flamewing get back to her body. With your permission, Lady Flamebright."

Flamebright stared hard at Alexander, trying to determine if he was telling the truth or not. However, she quickly came to the same decision as Blackfire.

There was no other way. If there was even a remote chance of her being able to help Flamewing by her own power, she would definitely have preferred that to trusting a complete stranger. However, she was in a deadend. She needed Flamewing's soul before she could even begin to do anything.

She stepped aside and allowed Alexander to approach Flamewing's unconscious body.

Alexander nodded at her reassuringly before floating upwards towards Flamewing's head.

Along the way, Alexander realized that Flamewing looked exactly the same as she did during the encounter with Magius. Interesting. Magius's power was certainly mysterious and powerful.

"Are you ready?" Alexander asked Flamewing when he reached her head.

As a dragon, Flamewing was truly a beauty. She was sleek and her contours were somehow extremely alluring, even to a human like him. Her milky white scales were completely unblemished and Alexander felt a deep sense of perfection just radiating from her.

Could this be the power of the Scion of Paladinos? Alexander wondered privately to himself.

"Yes. Do it." Flamewing said resolutely.

Alexander placed his hands upon her white-scaled head and injected golden streams of healing magic into her. Alexander could feel his magic revitalizing Flamewing's brain and body. Parts which were already dormant and slowly atrophying rapidly revived under the power of Alexander's magic.

"Focus your healing on the brain." Flamewing said. "I could feel the connection slowly strengthening."

Alexander obliged and sent another surge of healing magic into her head.

"Can you sense the parasite?" Flamewing asked softly.

"Parasite?" Alexander asked with a start. He closed his eyes and sent his senses deep into Flamewing's brain.

"There it is! A pulsating black clot of somesort." Alexander found it almost immediately.

"Burn it." Flamewing said simply.

"It's risky." Alexander warned. "If I make even the slightest mistake, I could burn off parts of your brain. That would take much more than the healing spells I could cast to heal you."

"Just do it." Flamewing said stubbornly.

Alexander hesitated for a moment.

"I trust you. I know you will not lose control." Flamewing added softly.

"Alright." Alexander took a deep breath, and slowly sent fire energy wrapped tightly in cool water, verdant and space energy into Flamewing's brain.

Slowly but steadily, Alexander guided his energy towards the black clot. As if sensing something, the black clot's pulse had already begun to quicken. But Alexander remained calm and continued towards it as though nothing was happening.

After a few seconds, Alexander suddenly sent a thin tendril of space energy shooting towards the parasite.

Schlick! The space energy hit the parasite and immediately coiled around it.

The black clot suddenly changed shape as hundreds of tiny tentacle-like appendages shot out in all directions and tried to pull its body away from the space energy. But it was no use. It was stuck.

Alexander sent the fire energy out and began to burn the parasite into nothingness.

"Done." Alexander gave a sigh of relief.

"Well done." Flamewing praised with a smile."

"It was no-"

Before Alexander could say much, hundreds of similar black clots suddenly appeared around the area where the first black clot perished.

These black clots were in full fury as each of them already had their appendages out and were rapidly following Alexander's trail of magic towards his hands.

"No way…" Flamewing said, completely horrified.

However, Alexander was calm. He had been caught in ambushes before, and he knew exactly what he needed to do.

Counterpunch, and counterpunch hard. Let them know that they had ambushed a steel plate, and had no way of capitalizing on the element of surprise they had.

Hundreds of golden streams began to enter Flamewing's head and each stream went straight towards a specific parasite.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Beads of sweat formed on Alexander's forehead as he tried his best to control his magic to deal with so many little parasites.

He focused on locking down each parasite with space magic first. The burning could be done later once all the parasites were safely in lock down.

His attacks had to be absolutely precise too, lest he somehow damaged the inside of Flamewing's brain.

Ten.

Twenty.

Forty.

Eighty.

Soon, all of the parasites were caught. Thankfully, the parasites weren't schemers. They operated purely by instinct, and there was no possibility of having a few parasites hiding in some corner. All of them had come out to attack when they sensed the death of one of their number. And now, all of them were caught.

"I think I should drag them out. Burning so many in your brain doesn't seem like a good idea." Alexander said as he firmly clamped on the final parasite.

"Yes, yes, please do that!" Flamewing said hurriedly.

Alexander gently led the parasites out of the brain area, into the airways and out through the nose. The parasites were so small that they could hardly be seen.

But dragons were powerful creatures with amazing eyesight. They quickly noticed the tiny black clumps that exited Flamewing's nose and gasped.

"Death Parasites! They actually injected such heinous things into my Flamewing, Oh Lord, thank goodness they are out…" Flamebright cried out in shock and relief when she saw the parasites.

Blackfire, however, had a slightly different response. He clenched his fists and tried his best to fight down the growing surge of anger that was threatening to cloud his thoughts. The idea that his beloved niece had such parasites injected within her filled him with diabolical rage.

Alexander could feel Blackfire's anger.

"Calm down." He said very simply. "We will hunt them down to the edges of the Universe if need be. And they will pay. I always collect my debts."

Blackfire nodded, finding renewed strength from Alexander's words to temporarily suppress his anger.

A small white flame erupted and quickly burnt the tiny black clump away.

"That should be all of it, right?" Alexander asked Flamewing.

However, Flamewing remained silent.

"Flamewing?" Alexander asked after a few moments. He frowned slightly. It was a strange moment for her to remain silent. They had one last step to do, and he needed her guidance to do it.

"Flamewing? Hey, you need to help me get this done." Alexander said in his mind.

"I'm here." Flamewing's voice appeared once more in his mind. But it sounded strangely far away.

"Hey, what's happening? Why do you sound so far away?" Alexander asked.

"This is how it will be with us from now on." Flamewing said once more.

"What do you mean?" Alexander asked in confusion.

Whoosh!!

Flamewing's body suddenly disappeared, and an extremely beautiful woman dressed in white appeared in her place. However, she quickly lost her balance and fell forward.

Alexander caught her in his arms even as the other dragons shouted out in joyous surprise.

"Hey." Flamewing breathed out weakly with a smile.
