In the living room.

Everyone started at Luo Ya who carefully walked to them with a shy look on her face and head low.

"Wow, Xiao Ya looks so cute."

Little Jia examined while breaking the silence with her surprised voice.

Her eyes were shining just like stars as she ran to Xiao Ya and pulled her hand and brought her to Ye Qian.

"Papa, doesn't she?"

Little Jia asked while pointing her finger at Luo Ya.

"Hmm."

Ye Qian smiled lovingly and nodded.

"Xiao Ya really looks cute in this dress."

"Really?"

Being praised by Ye Qian, Luo Ya's eyes also brightened as she glanced at him with a bashful look.

"Hehe, I didn't know Xiao Ya was so shy."

Little Jia chuckled while trying to tease the little girl.

"UMMM"

The little girl pouted a bit then glanced at Ye Qian.

"Yes, why would I lie to my little girl?"

Ye Qian nodded and was about to pat her head but stopped while recalling that it would make her hair turn bad.

"What happened, Dad?"

After seeing Ye Qian suddenly stop his hand, the little girl felt a bit sad.

She had seen Ye Qian always patting Little Qiqi and Little Jia, but now he suddenly stopped.

"If I pat Xiao Ya, won't your hair get messy?"

Ye Qian asked clearly noticing her sadness and the reason behind it.

"Ohh, Dad, don't worry, I said Mom to do a simple hair, so it will not get messy."

Xiao Ya nodded with a bright smile and brought her head close to Ye Qian.

Ye Qian smiled and then instead of patting, he lightly pecked her head.

"Thank you."

The little girl almost jumped in joy as she shamed herself into Ye Qian's embrace.

"Haha."

Ye Qian chuckled and helped the little girls to sit beside him till the other three were to arrive.

"Mom, where is Dad?'

Ye Qian asked after looking around and not noticing Grandpa Xiao.

He had not seen him since he and Yuan Meng came back and thought that he was resting, Ye Qian also didn't want to disturb him so he didn't ask about Grandpa Xiao before.

Not it had been nearly time for them to leave for the Old Age home and there was no sign of Grandpa Xiao.

"Ahh, don't bother, I told him to get ready when you were in the bathroom, the old man was sleeping all the time."

Grandma Yan grinned as she remembered how she had scolded Grandpa Xiao for getting ready as soon as possible when she went to their room.

She then continued.

"He will be coming anytime soon."

"Hmm."

Ye Qian nodded and didn't say anything, he knew that though his parents had a bit of here and there, that was their way of loving and caring for each other.

And he even thought that it was really an intimate way whenever he thought of them having a small quarrel over something.

But all the time, it was Grandma Yan who would win the fight no matter what happened.

This always made Ye Qian wonder if Grandma Yan was always right or she had more say in any matter.

Nevertheless, they had been always caring for each other, and even if they fought for a moment, they got close for the next moment.

This was something Ye Qian always wondered about until he married Yuan Meng.

That was when he understood why would Grandma Yan always win any quarrel.

Ye Qian smiled wryly and nodded once again while looking at the smug on Grandma Yan's face.

It looked like she had defeated someone her opponent tragically.

Ye Qian shook his head and sighed while thinking what might have happened to his father who would be sleeping when he received Grandma Yan's trumpeting scolding.

"ACHOO"

Ye Qian was just thinking when he heard someone sneeze.

Ye Qian glanced while turning to his left and noticed that it was Grandpa Xiao who had just walked out of his room and was about to close the door when he sneezed hard.

"Did you catch a cold?"

The smugness on Grandma Yan's face instantly vanished as she worriedly stood up and rushed to Grandpa Xiao.

"Huh, no-no ."

Grandpa Xiao shook his head and smiled wryly.

"I am fine, maybe just some dust."

He said while holding Grandma Yan's hand and caressing it lightly.

"Hmm."

Grandma Yan blushed but her brows raised high as she used her other hand to place it on Grandpa Xiao's head and checked.

"Hmm, you seem fine."

"Maybe someone felt pity for you."

Grandma Yan nodded while thinking and narrowed her eyes.

"Cough."

Grandpa Xiao shook his head and coughed dryly.

"Who would pity me, and for what?"

"I have everything; I am happy as well."

Saying that he shrugged his shoulders and tried to find a way off.

He knew that if things stayed like how they were now, then it would get hard for him.

"Am I the last one to get ready, did everyone have to wait because of me?"

Grandpa Xiao took a glance around and then asked even after knowing that he was not the last.

But still, he wanted to get Grandma Yan off that topic which she was thinking and glaring at him.

"Nah, Little Meng and Wei are also remaining."

Grandma Yan let go of his hand and then walked to Ye Qian who was smiling apologetically at Grandpa Xiao.

"What is with that face of yours Little Qi?"

She asked while picking Xiao Ya, placing her on her lap and hugging her from behind.

"Thank you, Grandma."

The little girl exclaimed and pecked on Grandma Yan's cheeks.

Grandma Yan grinned and fondled her cheeks.

"How long till Mom and Aunt Meng come out?"

Little Jia pouted a little and extended her neck to look at the door of the bedroom which was still shut tight.

She was bored while waiting for so long, it had been like more than 5 minutes and there was no one after Xiao Ya walked out of the bedroom.
