Xi Shen once again called upon his Heavenly Physique and uses its aura to coat the entirety of his Qi Sea to hide its presence.

The Heavenly Tribulation that was forming in the sky above his courtyard found its target had disappeared, causing it to dissipate.

Ye Fei, who was casually strolling through the air some distance away from the Sword Pavilion mountain, paused his steps to look up at the sky.

‘Was it my imagination?’

Fei Yin asked himself, before he moved towards the Sword Pavilion Mountain again, more specifically to Xi Shen’s courtyard

Back in Xi Shen’s room, Xi Shen sigh a relief when he sensed the Heavenly Tribulation dissipating. But still had on a frown since his Qi Sea was still fighting back against his control.

It was already more than halfway in and it would only take several seconds to fully have it suppressed.

This gave Xi Shen a split second of time to think about what his Qi Sea attracting a Heavenly Tribulation entails.

‘It must be because I have my Spiritual Physique and am cultivating using the Qi Cultivation System. For cultivators in my past life, Heavenly Tribulation was nonexistent as they were the sons of heaven. The heavens wouldn’t punish them it was the one who wanted them to cultivate to become its slave in the first place. But Qi Cultivation is different, it’s something that goes against heaven’s will. Cultivators who reach a high realm in Qi Cultivation got to a point that the Heavens deem their path to such power blasphemous. The stronger the Law comprehended the harsher the punishment the heavens dish out, or at least this is my speculation since there is no information on Heavenly Palace Realm cultivation or the tribulation they go through to reach that stage. If one’s talent in Qi Cultivation is too high, the heavens also try to curb their future potential by sending Heavenly Tribulation. This is a piece of information that I was keeping at the back of my mind, but now that I heard about Chosens, I wonder if they are some who face tribulations like Yang Su. But Fei Yin and Fang Chen didn’t face such tribulations, so I guess there are different levels of Chosens. Interesting.’

As Xi Shen thought this, his Qi Sea was already back under his control, but his body shook all of a sudden, or more specifically his Qi Sea.

Xi Shen frowned as his perception went to his Dantian to see what was up, but he only saw his unfinished 22 meters Qi Sea. Realizing this wasn’t where the trembling occurred, Xi Shen’s perception moved to his Sea of Consciousness.

What he saw made him flabbergasted.

His Qi Sea projection was there floating in front of his thousand-meter large soul. It would occasionally tremble uncontrollably as if it was… afraid of something?

Xi Shen was utterly baffled by that, but this was the sense he was getting.

However, he had no time to analyze this strange scene or question why his Qi Sea projection was in his Sea of consciousness, as Ye Fei was only moments away from appearing.

Xi Shen flew up from his seated position on the floor and rush out his door. A simple one-piece upper robe appeared in his hand before he hurriedly put it on.

He didn't want to be in there when Ye Fei came since the residue of Time Qi could still be felt if he used his Divine Will to search for Xi Shen.

As Xi Shen was walking to the main dining area while tying his hair into a ponytail, it just so happens he sense Ye Fei Divine Will briefly sweep over him, but he retrieve it soon after sensing him.

Xi Shen let out an exhausted sigh as he went to pour some of the tea that was on the table, but paused before he flipped over his palm and took out a small wine gourd instead.

These wine gourds were similar to storage bags and holds about five to ten liters of wine inside.

Popping the cork, Xi Shen placed it to his lips to take a swig, and at the same time, Ye Fei’s figure appeared in front of him.

Looking Xi Shen up and down, Ye Fei commented, “That would have to do.”

Before Xi Shen could question what he meant by that, he was suddenly whisked away from his position.

Ye Fei and Xi Shen appeared in the air above the Sword Pavilion mountain.

Seeing the sudden change in scenery stunned Xi Shen for a moment. Looking down between his feet he could see the numerous ant-like disciple going about their business, in and out of the many buildings.

As Xi Shen was looking down, Ye Fei said, “Get ready, although you look barely presentable it can’t be helped. And why are your feet bare?”

Xi Shen snapping out of his wonderment at being so high on the ground for the first -well second if the time at the volcano was counted but it was night and he could see such scenery's then- he turned to look at Ye Fei and asked, “What are you talking about, and why did you suddenly teleport me away without explaining why?”

Hearing Xi Shen’s annoyed tone, Ye Fei smiled and said, “Second prince should feel honored, someone special has requested to speak with you.”

“Huh?”

Xi Shen asked in confusion. He didn’t want to sound like a jackass, but he was the second prince of the entire Maple Continent, the only people he should feel honored to meet are his Ancestors.

‘What nonsense is this Ye Fei spouting?’

Seeing that Xi Shen was looking at him more annoyed, Ye Fei didn’t lose his smile as he turned around while saying, “You’ll see what I mean when you meet her.”

Xi Shen couldn’t help but focus on the ‘her’ in Ye Fei’s sentence. This made one thought come to mind, ‘Is he talking about the Sword Pavilion Head Master Dongmei? Am I going to meet her now?’

Xi Shen became curious upon thinking that, he wanted to meet this Head Master of his. He was still wondering why she had placed so much attention on him when everyone else was writing him off as useless trash or some other derogatory words.

Ye Fei took a step forward after speaking, making both he and Xi Shen disappear into the distance.

The Celestial Academy was by no means small. Just the Outer Academy was big enough to fit the entire Bai Clan. And although the Outer Academy was built like that because of more Outer Disciples, the Inner Academy, the Core Academy, and the Conclave Academy had similar sizes even with the small number of disciples they have.

This was another evidence that the Celestial Academy now wasn’t being used for what it had been initially built for. In the past, Xi Shen figured all these sections in the Celestial Academy was filled with disciple instead of only finding one or two disciple every three to four mountain.

The disciple in the Core Academy and Conclave Academy gain special treatment by receiving a private mountain that even Soul Transformation Realm experts in the mid-stage couldn't easily break through.

This was observed by Xi Shen at the few stops made between Ye Fei teleportation.

Before long, Ye Fei had reached the Conclave Academy, and Xi Shen had his mouth dropped open in shock.

He saw floating islands in the sky, held up by large chains that disappeared into the clouds.

Surely the sight of these scenes that made him think he was transported to an Immortal Paradise caused him to feel awe, but his shock came from the fact that the Formations used to keep these islands afloat were Spatial Formations from the Space God Temple. And complete ones at that!!

Xi Shen was so shocked his eyes almost popped out of their sockets. His gaze then glimpsed the chains holding up these massive Islands before Ye Fei teleported again, and his heart shook uncontrollably.

‘Void Chains, those were definitely Void Chains. I’ve been kept in them for the entirety of my past life so I could never mistake that cold reflecting luster of black. But where did the Celestial Academy and the Bai Clan gain such things that came from the God Era? Is there like a place that has these things, and they and the other Major Powers excavate it? Like a Treasure Land? Is it that Hidden Fragmented Realm Bai Shu talked about?"

As Xi Shen was sent into deep contemplation, he didn’t realize the time passing as Ye Fei teleported a few more times, passing the Conclave Academy and entering the restricted section of the Celestial Academy.

He only snapped out of his thoughts when Ye Fei said, “We're here.”

Xi Shen looked up to see a simple mountain in front of him. It wasn’t big or grandiose like the others in its nearby surroundings but Xi Shen felt a strange aura wafting from it that gave it the feeling of being the only thing in existence, it was a strange feeling that was hard to explain, and could only be felt personally to understand how isolating it can make one feel.

Ye Fei slowly floated down to the peak of the mountain, towards a simple wooden hut.

After landing in front of it with Xi Shen by his side, Ye Fei said, “When you enter and meet her, just don’t be surprised by what she knows. She knows about everything that happens in the Celestial Academy and that entire Maple Continent.”

Hearing that, Xi Shen’s eyes opened wide in shock and incredulity.

Seeing Xi Shen’s shock Ye Fei spoke up again, “Of course divulging those pieces of information to others would lead to some serious consequences on her part, so she abstain from the affairs of the outside world and isolate herself on this mountain. Just…”

Ye Fei was about to speak again but suddenly stopped talking before turning to the door to show a bitter smile. "I don't like that name." He mumbled before his figure slowly floated into the air, and gave Xi Shen a slight smile before he vanished.

Xi Shen turned to look at the door, thinking about Ye Fei's words from before.

“Just enter, it’s not like your life is in danger. I need to speak with you, Li Shen.”

A soft and melodious voice entered Xi Shen’s ears.

He was taken aback by the voice, as well as the address she used for him. He had ever only had his mother or father call him by his surname along with his given name, Li Shen. Most people would leave out the Li and called him Xi Shen.

That wasn’t a sign of disrespect but more so the opposite as they were unqualified to address him using his family name.

Xi Shen wore a curious expression as he opened the wooden door and enter the hut.
