"AHHHH!!!"

Amidst the loud explosions and the disciples' shrill screams of terror, Shiming could be heard screaming in rage and agony.

"N-No Young Master, you mustn't go!"

Shiming had killing intent surrounding him and was about to charge at Sea King Modu, however, one of the Ming Clan members was quick enough to hold him back.

"You dare stop me?"

Bang!

In his rage, Shiming didn't hold back and as his palm slammed into that youth's chest he flew back while coughing out a mouth full of blood.

Shiming then went to leave once again, but more than a dozen Ming Clan youths rush to stop him. Cracking bones and heavy thuds echoed out as Shiming tried to force them off, but their grips remained firm while they all pleaded with him to calm down.

"Y-Young Master Shiming, as the future Patriarch of the Ming Clan you cannot die here! You have more to accomplish so you cannot throw away your life!!"

One youth cried out, and this seemed to get through to Shiming who was blinded by rage.

His mind thought back on the mission his Patriarch granduncle had tasked him to carry out and his tightening fists loosen a bit.

"All of you stop, let go of me."

Everyone seeing that he had calmed down released sighs of relief and let him go.

Most of them fell to their butts and used everything they had to resist the urge to cough up blood from Shiming's blows. There were more than twenty of them that varied from the late Foundation Realm to the Early Core Formation Realm but they were barely able to hold Shiming back.

"I apologize for my actions, I hope you all will forgive me."

The Ming Clan youths who were nursing their bruises saw Shiming bowing towards them.

"No Young Master, you don't have to apologize. We too are angered by elder Lu's death. But…"

The youth that said that stopped talking and turned to look in the sky where all the elders were killed with a frightened expression.

The other youths did the same, but Shiming was looking somewhere else.

His eyes picked out Jun and the others from the crowd and his hatred soared.

'It's you, if it wasn't for you then my uncle wouldn't have died.'

*Cough*

Meanwhile, the attack from Sea King Modu was beginning to calm down. The Mercenary Association elder that had survived but was covered in blood looked at Sea King Modu with horror.

That one attack had killed all of the elders, if his cultivation wasn't at the Quasi Soul Transformation he would have died along with them.

However, that didn't mean he was fine. He was so injured he could hardly move his body. His figure was like a kite that had its strings cut as he fell onto the bow of the ship.

The elder struggled to get up, especially when he saw Sea King Modu approaching the ship. He tried to form hand seals to control the ship's formations, but after only shining for a brief moment they went dull and become unresponsive.

*Vomit*

The elder vomited out a mouth full of blood.

"N-No, damn it."

Sea King Modu after seeing the formations on the ship lit up but quickly faded away, turned to glance at the elder. However, he had no time to deal with him.

After forcefully using that Supreme-grade Spirit Artifact without refining it, his clone was on the verge of dying. His cultivation base was severely damaged along with his body, and he was barely fending off the sword energy in his mind by using the Supreme-grade Spirit Artifact to protect his soul.

If it was another cultivator there was no way he could still remain conscious after his injuries, but this was just a clone, he could push it to its limit. And he had to in order to get that nutrient and leave.

Sea King Modu glanced around in the crowd and his gaze landed on Jun and the others. With blood pouring out of his gruesome wounds he made his way to them.

On the ship, Jun was still trying his best to prevent Yang Su's fire element from consuming the others.

However, a mouth full of blood suddenly spurted from his mouth and his face went pale. His body swayed a bit while his aura become slightly chaotic, but Jun gritted his teeth and continued.

"Jun, enough! Your body can't handle any more than this!"

Fang Chen seeing Jun's condition worsening was angered.

If it wasn't for the fact that interrupting Jun at this moment would cause a backlash to occur, he would have pried him away from Yang Su.

While everyone was on the sideline feeling helpless, Lihua looked at Jun and began saying.

"Jun, you-"

"Lihua, don't try to stop me. Please... let me do this."

Jun immediately cut her off.

"I-"

Jun was going to say something else, but his body suddenly stiffen.

'Boy, you dare interfere?'

A voice echoed in Jun's head that sent chills down his spine. Afterward, his vision suddenly went black.

When he came to he was standing in a dark void. Behind him was a large Kun Peng that was even bigger than the Mercenary Association's carrier ship by quite a large amount.

"W-What? Why am I here?"

This was Jun's mindscape/Sea of Consciousness. This large white Kun Peng was a spirit he had gained after he fully integrated with the Kun Peng's legacy.

Jun turned to it feeling something was off.

"What's wrong? Why are you so scared?"

Jun came up to his Kun Peng and placed his hand on it to comfort it. However, he immediately realized that not only was his Kun Peng spirit feeling immense fear, but its huge body was also trembling uncontrollably.

Jun closed his eyes with his palm still on his Kun Peng spirit. His consciousness fused with it and through its own eyes, he was able to see what was causing it to react like this.

Above his mindscape, two pairs of cold blood-red eyes belonging to a single entity were staring down at them.

A tremor ran through Jun's body before his eyes quickly flew open and he turned to look up. However, he saw and felt nothing.

"This-"

Jun's heart began pounding erratically.

This was his Mindscape but he couldn't sense this entity at all.

'And that voice I heard before I came here, is the owner of that voice also the owner of these pairs of eyes? Is it related to senior disciple brother?'

Jun having been put in this situation came to realize Yang Su's situation wasn't as simple as his Fire Element going out of control.

However, there was one thing Jun couldn't understand, how did he end up here? He never had any intentions for his consciousness to come here.

'Was it…pulled here from my body? S-Something like this, what kind of entity is capable of doing this?'

Jun looked up to where he had seen the pairs of blood-red eyes.

Through his Kun Peng spirit, he could sense the entity had vanished.

'Damn it, this was a distraction.'

Jun's consciousness then disappeared from his mindscape.

"…Jun...Jun...Jun!"

Jun could hear Mu Fan's voice that sounded far away getting closer and closer until it was piercing his eardrums.

Jun slowly opened his eyes to come face to face with Mu Fan.

"Mu Fan?"

Seeing that Jun had woken up, Mu Fan released a sigh.

"Come on stand up."

Mu Fan said as he slowly raised Jun up.

"What happened? Where are the others? How long was I unconscious?"

Jun asked after looking around for Lihua and the others but not finding them.

"Look ahead."

Jun hearing that turned from Mu Fan to look in front of them and he saw the scene of Fang Chen and others blocking Sea King Modu's path.

What stood out to him was that all the disciples on the ship had put distance between them and Sea King Modu.

"You were only unconscious for a few seconds, but just after you collapse that bastard threatened to kill anyone who blocked his path. And that after he got Yang Su he'll leave everyone unharmed."

Jun hearing that gritted his teeth, he now understood the disciples' actions. But this situation was bound to occur after all the elders had been killed.

No one would be stupid enough to stick out their necks to help them in this situation, they were on their own.

"If you want to take him then do it over my dead body."

After saying that a killing aura burst from Fang Chen's body.

'So be it.'

Sea King Modu's said through his Divine Will that was spread to cover the entire ship.

He didn't care for Fang Chen and the others anymore, he only wanted Yang Su.

Sea King Modu stepped forward to kill his way to Yang Su, but he suddenly pause.

A figure immediately dashed out of the crowd of disciples to block his path.

The person who stepped up when no one dared to was a beautiful girl. She looked like someone who was from a Major power.

Under normal circumstances when one saw her appearance one would think she was a sheltered girl who was protected all her life. But as she pointed her sword at Sea King Modu with tear stains on her face, that perspective would be shattered.

"You murdered my senior sister, if I don't kill you today then I'll never rest in peace!"

The girl then released her cultivation base, and for a brief moment, everyone thought they heard the sound of the guqin playing.

It was the girl's aura, instead of Spiritual Qi she had a unique Qi that contain the properties of sound.

Sound Qi.

Sea King Modu seeing this only swept an indifferent gaze across her. However, bellowing roars came from the crowd, and several disciples were wearing the same deep blue robes as the girl came rushing out.

"Follow the Young Lady to take revenge for our elder!"

"Bastard! The Divine Star Academy's Music Department will never forgive you, kill him!"

Seeing the reaction of these disciples from the Divine Star Academy caused a chained reaction. The disciples who were fearing for their lives because they saw Sea King Modu kill their elders, had the rage of losing those elders triumphed over that fear.

The scene that followed was a wave of disciples from the various powers charging to Sea King Modu with bloodshot eyes.

They attacked like wolves that were going all out against a wounded tiger.
