"Okay, got it."

Kent nearly jumped out of his skin when Brandon barked at him. He quickly packed up the trash and bolted out of there, not daring

to stick around a second longer.

But as he reached the door, Brandon called out, "Wait."

Kent slammed on the brakes and spun around, "Mr. Crawley, is there anything else?"

Brandon said, "Check for me, when did my dad and Patricia last try to get in touch with Sophia?"

Kent was taken aback, "As far as | know, ever since we got bodyguards for them, they haven't reached out to Sophia."

"No way!" Brandon didn't even have to think about it, "Have another chat with the bodyguard, accidental run-ins or phone calls

count too. Geta copy of his recent call log."

"Sure thing," after responding, Kent quickly left to instruct his team to pull Daniel's recent call list.

After he finished, he couldn't help but sneak another peek into Brandon's office.

Brandon was staring into space at his computer screen.

Kent was too far away to be sure if Brandon was still digging into the topic of "how to win back a girl who's lost faith in you," and he

didn't dare to ask, but he was still in shock that Brandon would even care about lovey-dovey stuff.

That was Brandon, the guy who was always so cool, composed, and seemed to want for nothing.

The junior assistant, who had just taken up the task, saw Kent's face, which looked as if he'd just eaten something awful, and

couldn't help but worryingly ask, "Kent, what's the matter?"

"Nothing," Kent, snapping back to reality, quickly replied, and couldn't resist another glance at Brandon in the office.

Brandon's gaze had returned to the mannequin head on his desk, his expression pensive as he lifted the fake hair, tried to style it,

then frowned and set it down, seemingly lost in thought.

The junior assistant saw it too and turned to Kent, asking in a hushed tone, "Has Mr. Crawley been possessed or something?"

"Don't be ridiculous." Kent rolled his eyes and whispered back, "Who doesn’t have a secret hairstylist fantasy? Mr. Crawley is so

busy all the time; can't he have squirky little hobby to decompress?"

The assistant didn't dare make another peep. It was fine to have a hobby, but in her mind, the big boss's hobbies were always

high-class - like golfing, collecting fine art, or antiquing. She'd never heard of a CEO dreaming of being a hairstylist.

Kent hadn't seen it either. Brandon having a daughter cso suddenly and was so short-lived that he hadn't made the

connection between Brandon's hobbies and his daughter.

To avoid more people witnessing Brandon's peculiar hobby and potentially damaging his CEO image among the staff, Kent

thoughtfully closed Brandon's office door securely.

Just as he got back to his desk, the external affairs assistant cin to report, "Kent, the legal personnel for Chairman Crawley's

work is here."

"Alright, tell her to wait in the meeting room. I'll be there shortly," Kent instructed the assistant, and then turned to pull out some

files from his drawer.

The Zenitha-style resort project was officially breaking ground. Since the project was launched under the nof Starlight Group's

subsidiary, the Starlight Group Tourism and Resorts, many of the legal procedures were still being carried out under the

subsidiary's name.

Although Brandon had taken back control of the project, his intention was still to build Starlight Group's cultural tourism brand.

Therefore, he didn't transfer the project to the parent company. The subsidiary was initially managed by Daniel, but Brandon took

back control after the foundation stone laying ceremony. Now, it was necessary to coordinate all the details, including the legal

contracts.

Kent was personally handling the coordination, in addition to arranging the handover between the parent company's legal

personnel and the subsidiary's.

"Also, tell Owen to calong," Kent added.

"Will do," replied the external affairs assistant, turning to leave just as she saw the subsidiary's legal personnel approaching.

"Ms. Temple," the assistant greeted her with a smile, "let's head to the meeting room and wait. Kent and Owen will be there

shortly."

"No need. I'll just wait for them outside," the girl's voice was bright and lively, carrying a faint sense of familiarity.

Kent, puzzled and frowning, couldn't help but look up at the owner of the voice. He was taken aback and uncertainly called out,

"Tia Temple?"

Tia extended her hand to Kent with ease and confidence, "Kent, we meet again."

"How cyou're here?"

Kent put on his professional smile but was genuinely surprised to see Tia at Starlight Group.

Who was Tia? She was the bold woman who chased after Brandon from Skyrim City to West district and cornered him in the

cafeteria to confess her feelings.

In all his years at Brandon's side, Kent had never seen a girl confess so boldly and directly to him.

Kent remembered the last twhen Brandon had clearly rejected Tia, even bypassing her without regard for her feelings to

approach Sophia and walk away with her.

At that time, Tia sat in a corner of the cafeteria, looking at them with a mix of hurt and defiance, but she didn't approach them.

Later, she left quietly on her own.

Kent had thought that was the end of it, but here she was again, popping up as the subsidiary's legal personnel.

She had made her way straight into the company, hadn't she?

Getting into Starlight Group's headquarters wasn't easy, but it was relatively easier to get into a subsidiary.

And with Starlight Group's fair promotion system, if people were talented enough, even if at a subsidiary, they always had the

chance to be transferred to the headquarters.

Tia clearly knew how to work the promotion system at Starlight Group.

In response to Kent's question, Tia replied cheerfully, "Of course, I'm here to coordinate work with you."

Kent chuckled, "I mean, when did you sneak into the company? How c| never heard a peep about it?"

"Me? I'm just a small fry. How could my arrival possibly cause a stir big enough for you to notice?"

Tia laughed, but couldn't help stealing a glance at Brandon's office. The door was shut tight though, and she couldn't see a thing.

She wanted to go over and check it out, but she worried it might be too showy, especially with the door closed and no clue if

anyone was inside.

Unable to resist, she turned to Kent and whispered, "Kent, is Mr. Crawley not around?"

Kent's heart skipped a beat, fearing Tia might recklessly barge in looking for him - a bold move he knew all too well from this girl.

If the feelings were mutual, such boldness was called cute; if not, it was considered harassment.

"Mr. Crawley's in a meeting." Kent said, and then, without further ado, started ushering her toward the conference room, "Con,

let's go meet Owen."

Tia was still not ready to give up, occasionally looking back towards Brandon's office, only to find Kent effectively blocking her view

from behind.

"Ms. Temple, if you joined the company just to chase after Mr. Crawley, I'd advise you to quit while you're ahead." Although Kent

was usually all smiles, he wasn't about to let her run wild, "If that's not the case, focus on your job, not on things that are none of

your business. Starlight Group doesn't coddle anyone."

By the end, his smile had faded and his voice carried a subtle warning.
