Chapter 46:

(Stacys POV)

“Yeah, I just hope you can help her when she finds out she has 4 modes,” I said, shrugging.

“Wait, you mean she doesn’t know her self she is like this!” Kayda said, surprised.

“Yeah, her thought process stays the same the entire time, but for us spectators, we can see the clear difference between them. So, please don’t mention it to her. She needs to find out about it herself. Aah, I need to tell the other kids this too.”

“Wait, isn’t it bad to keep it from her?” Kayda said worriedly.

“No, she doesn’t have a lot of people to rely on yet. I am there, but one is not enough. If we tell her now about it, she might run away from us and go somewhere we cant help her.” I said, standing up. “I think you should watch out for Rachel, though. She seems to have some lewd intention towards Kitsuna.” I said sarcastically and felt a shiver go down my spine.

‘That was a bad idea.’ I thought feeling the amount of killing intent Kayda is exerting.

“You mean that dumb half breed of an Angel,” Kayda said, giving a dangerous smirking.

.....

“Oi wasn’t it you who wanted to reject Kitsuna like 10 minutes ago,” I said, sending Kayda back into depression. Chuckling, I added. “I understand how you feel, but don,t do anything to her. She is a half-breed and our only connection to angels at the moment. If we touch her, the church will hunt us down.”

“You’re going to use her in a way, aren’t you.” Hearing her, I grinned and shrugged at her. “Haah, I still don’t understand how your family is ok with you using people sometimes?” Kayda said, confused.

“Huh? I am not using them for myself, and they always have bad intentions towards my family. Like you should know that family for me means everything.” I explain, getting a deadpan look from Kayda. “What, are you saying I shouldn’t do that.”

“Whatever,” Kayda said, shrugging.

“Actually, know that I think about it. Didn’t we come here to talk about your back?” I said, completely forgetting our original purpose coming here.

“Really, Stacy. It’s my wings. We have been talking about the reason the entire time.” Tilting my head at her in confusion, she continued explaining. “Don’t you remember I told you that we Dragons sometimes get our wings if our soul mate trusts and accepts us without question then...we ... would ...receive our wings.” The more she explains, the more our eyes widen at each other.

“She already accepted you/me!?” We shouted.

“Nono, I do not accept that she has done that so fast while it took me 3 years to make her accept me,” I said in denial.

“Haha, for once in my life, I have done something faster than you, Stacy,” Kayda said with a victory pose.

“Ugh,” Seeing her like this, I grunted in depression.

‘I can’t believe my daughter would trust someone this easily. Trust? Wait, trust and accept how far does it go, though.’ I thought.

“Hey, Kayda, when you say trust and accept, does that include love?” I said, confusing Kayda.

“Huh? Actually, now that you say it, I don’t know.” Kayda said. Thinking it over, she visibly got depressed again and said. “I don’t think so.”

“She most likely accepted you because you are in the black ops and under Dean’s command. Not that that is correct.” I said, shrugging. ‘Kayda might be in the black ops, but she isn’t really under anyone’s command. This is just a way to keep the dragon clan out of her affairs. But she does sometimes do missions when we ask her nicely.’

“You mean, according to her, I am a dragon that summited to a mortal,” Kayda said, depressed.

“Don’t worry about it. She might be a hard egg to crack, but it’s not impossible. Ooh, and remember you aren’t allowed to tell Kitsuna that you guys are soul mates.” I said, patting her back encouraging her. “Well, I need to call Amari real quick, so calm yourself down.”

(Amari POV)

“Take Kitsuna to the aircraft. I need to have a word with Kayda.” Mom said before disappearing. Seeing mom disappear like that, I grunted in frustration.

‘She really doesn’t think things through. What should I do with them.’ I thought, looking at the capital police standing at the side inspecting the destroyed area.

“Zagan, help Rachel pick up my sister and take her to the aircraft. I would go and talk to them.” I said, seeing as Rachel was already next to Kitsuna inspecting her.

Walking towards the capital police. I looked between them, looking for the man that was in command. Finding a person wearing silver armor in the crowd, I walked to him. He seemed to have noticed me walking towards him.

“Amari Draig, what the hell happened here.” The Knight said.

“Well, sir knight. My family had a small... Uhm, a dispute with someone. It was nothing major, so you don’t need to worry about finding a culprit.” I explain, ignoring his disrespect.

“Small! You call this small!? How is this a small dispute? There are 5 buildings destroyed and 3 others still on fire. Then there is the road that cant be used at all. It will take weeks to fix all this.” The Knight said, pointing at the destroyed buildings.

“Uhm... I don’t know what to say.” I said in defeat.

“Who did the most damage.” The knight asks.

“Uhm... that’s actually hard to say. I couldn’t see half of the fight,” I said awkwardly. My vision couldn’t keep up with the fight at all. They were moving too fast for me. I ask Zagan about the fight, but he wasn’t doing much better than me. “If I had to choose who did the most damage, it would be my Mother and Sister.”

“Lady Draig? Sister? But aren’t you an only child?” The Knight said, confused.

“Not anymore. My parents adopted her a while back.” I said.

“Oh, congrats, I guess.” He said.

“Amari!? What the hell happened here!?” Hearing a familiar shout, I sigh and turn around, looking up at a person we all reincarnated people dislike. Hugo Boei the sole heir to the last standing duke house and the most annoying ass ever.

Hugo was a 1,7-meter long demi-Lion 15 centimeters longer than me. Like a Lion, he had golden fur all over his body, with his hair looking like a mane around their faces. Personally, they look like a furry from Earth. I heard from others that certain demi-humans would look up to them and follow them without question.

Previous life name Kendo Natsume. He was known as the schools’ otaku and pervert. No matter how much I disliked Shiro, this guy was still at the top of the list.

“Hugo, what are you doing here?” I said, not hiding my annoyance.

“I heard about people chasing each other through the capital. I went and tried to find out what was going on but look what I found the most problematic family once again made a mess.” Hugo said tauntingly.

“Yeah, now that you know. Go back to whatever you were doing.” I said, turning back to the Knight. I said before turning around to leave. “If you want to know more about the fight, get in touch with my mother. She would be able to tell you everything,”

“Who said you could leave,” Hugo said, annoyed.

“Hugo, I don’t have time for this. I have things to do.” I said, not turning around walking to the aircraft.

Slap!

Feeling pain on my cheek, I look up at Hugo, standing in front with a smirk. I was confused for a second before I realized he slapped me. Putting my hand on my cheek, I narrowed my eyes at him.

“Hugo, why did you slap me,” I ask.

“I was talking to you, and a bitch that doesn’t listen should be punished,” Hugo said, smiling. Raising his hand again, I was about to call Zagan when Hugo was pushed down to the floor. “Ugh,”

Confused, I looked around and saw that everyone around us was also crawling on the ground under the invisible pressure. Looking at the Knight, I just talked. I was about to ask what was going on when a familiar voice started talking.

“This is your first and final warning. Hurt someone precious to my mother again, and you will lose your life. You got that little pup.” Kitsuna said with a voice full of malice. Looking at her, I saw she was standing at the Aircraft entrance, which looked like a smaller version of a military cargo plane.

‘Even though she was 100 meters away, I thought she was standing right next to me.’ I thought, shivering at seeing her eyes. Sighing, I ran to the aircraft.

“Thank you,” I said, hugging Kitsuna.

“It’s fine. you should also start train more.” Kitsuna said, hugging me back.

Giggling, I hugged her titer, making Kitsuna struggle in pain.

“No, no, stop, that hurts. Blegh!?” Kitsuna shouted, and before I could let go, she puked blood out and going limp.

“Aah shit, I killed her,” I shouted in surprise. Putting Kitsuna on one of the seats, I realized she only passed out. Sighing in relief, I heard my scroll go off. I took it out of my pocket and answered it.

“Yo, Amari, are you guys still at the same spot?” Mom asks.

“Yes, but we had a run-in with Hugo, and it didn’t end very well,” I explain, looking at Kitsuna.

“Kitsuna didn’t go and fight again, did she.” Mom said.

“No, she didn’t, but she released enough force to push everyone down to the floor except me,” I explain, cleaning myself from Kitsunas vomit.

“Tell me everything that happened.” Mom said worriedly.

(Hugo POV)

‘I couldn’t do anything, and how did she push me down to the floor when she was standing 100 meters away. Who was she? How dare she call me a pup.’ I thought, changing my fear into anger.

“Young master, are you alright.” The knight Amari talked to a while back to came up to me and asked worriedly.

“I am fine. do you know who that was?” I ask.

“Not really, sir. All I know is that she is Amaris’ adopted sister and was adopted a while back.” The Knight explains.

“Haha, is that so. I seem to have found another way to get to Amari.” I said, smirking.

“Ooh, what is this I hear? Does a little puppy think he can fight against wolves already?” Hearing a familiar voice, I felt my back starting to sweat. Looking towards the voice, I saw Lady Draig standing next to Kayda the Sage. Seeing them together and the looks they gave me, I knew I might actually lose my middle leg today.

“Haha, he went so stiff just seeing us,” Kayda said, laughing.

“That’s true. Do you think we should still do something to him.” Lady draig asked, looking at Kayda.

“Nah, he isn’t worth our time. Let him do what he wants. I am sure your daughters will be fine.” Kayda said, turning around.

“Well, you heard her.” Lady Draig said following behind Kayda.

‘That family’s older generation is monsters.’ I thought, gulping at their pressure.
