''Hmm…'' Isaac looked at the two items on the table. The first one was a cube-like object. It was in dark blue color, and the texture was very smooth.

When Isaac touched it the first time, it felt like touching a block of ice. When his hand moved around the cube, it felt like his hand was sliding on ice.

The second item was something that made Isaac's heart pound. Two rings with a piece of jewelry on top. The ring itself was in the color of beautiful silver while the jewelry shone like a diamond.

The way he treated the items was vastly different. He threw the cube inside his inventory and moved rings carefully in his hand.

He took one of the rings and slowly slipped it into his ring finger. Once the ring was placed, notifications tinged.

[Ring of Commitment: 1/2]

[You Need Partner!]

''Partner…'' His eyes turned soft when looking at the ring. He opened his front pocket and slipped the second ring in there.

Afterward, he closed the front pocket and ensured it won't fall from there.

Then, he stood up and blew the candle off. The room returned to its previous darkness.

Except for a shimmer of light coming from the open stone door. It opened immediately after Isaac received his rewards.

He stepped out of the room and was greeted by a calm breeze.

Bam!

The stone door closed behind him. Once Isaac turned around, trying to feel the stone wall with his hand, he couldn't feel anything that would suggest there was a door.

''Yawn…'' A long-gathered yawn left his mouth. He sat down on a stump and began to gather his thoughts.

His mind was a mess. There were simply too many things he had to think about. But, the most noticeable one was the item Dark Isaac talked about.

He began to massage his temples. Soon, images started to surface in his mind.

After the snowstorm, there was a heavy feeling on his back. He could remember clearly him strolling forward, almost falling down because of the weight on his back.

Then, the memories became much fuzzier. The next thing he remembered was his sobbing mother, who was crying her eyes out while hugging him.

That was only moments after he returned from the forest. Maxwell was standing in the background with a solemn and tearful facade.

Then, the memories flashed. The following image was Maxwell grabbing something from Isaac's back. Once the item found its way into Maxwell's arms, the weight on Isaac's back reduced massively.

Maxwell's face showed shock for a split second. Then, the memory became too hazy to remember.

Isaac's eyes opened. He was thrown out of the memory line.

''Ahh…'' A tame headache appeared. Isaac massaged his forehead and remembered his father taking the item. He couldn't see what item it was. But, remembering his face, Maxwell must still have it.

Crack!

The quietness of the forest disappeared as the sound of a twig getting snapped in half appeared from the bottom of the slope.

Isaac turned his head around and saw a beautiful young woman walking up a hill with sweatdrops trailing down her face. She was carrying a camera and seemed rather desperate to get to the top of the hill.

'This is not good… I am not in shape to fight.' Isaac wasn't sure whether that Player was after his rewards. He took a Teleportation Pearl from his inventory and said, ''My rented room.''

His body became transparent, and soon he disappeared into a bright light.

Xue'er, who was catching her breath, noticed the bright light, ''Ah, someone is here! Could it be him?!'' She increased her pace and soon reached the top of the hill.

She couldn't see anything except a large mountain, a stump, a fallen tree, and the steep slope back to where she came from.

''Don't tell me I walked all the way here for nothing?!'' She tugged her hair and knelt down on the ground, ''I am so exhausted… No, don't give up!''

Her fatigued face vanished, and she hopped back to her feet, ''He must be here!''

''Wraith? Player Wraith? Don't be shy, I want to interview you!'' She began searching for the white-haired youth without knowing that he was long gone.

Creak!

Isaac felt his head touching the soft pillow and the rest of his body being wrapped in familiar warmth.

He sat up and rubbed his forehead. His head still had a throbbing pain. The pain was nonexistent compared to real life, but the headache felt closer to the actual pain.

He wasn't sure whether his headache was so bad that it would split his skull in real life. That's why the current pain was also quite significant.

Creak!

Isaac opened the door and left his bedroom. His movements halted when his steps were about to take him to the front door.

He turned around and saw the empty living room with curtains draped over the windows and the balcony.

He rubbed his imaginary beard and remembered that he had never used his own living room. Most of the time was spent in his bedroom.

''Right… Maybe I can use that?'' Isaac's mouth curved into a smile as a crazy thought appeared in his mind. He opened the inventory and grabbed the cube-like item.

He bent down and placed it on the ground. Immediately, the cube started glowing.

Isaac didn't even blink and watched as the cube merged with the floor. The floor changed color into a dark blue, and soon the coloring began to spread.

The dry-painted wall also changed colors into a dark blue, and soon the whole room looked significantly different. Isaac thought it would look ugly as the final version, but the room wasn't bad-looking.

Quite unique, but the dark-blue fit surprisingly well as a wall color. The floor still looked like it was made from wood, except it was in a different color.

Isaac knelt down and touched the floor. It felt extremely smooth. He remembered when he touched the cube-like item, and now the whole room felt the same!

''Wow.'' He was amazed and couldn't help but smile.

There were also two screens on the walls. They came with a cube-like item.

The first screen showed different training sessions. Shooting, fighting, survival, movement, etc.

While the second screen showed hundreds of different weapons. However, they weren't real weapons. Instead illusionary.

''Well… This will come to use.'' Isaac only had two things left to do.

''Interface.'' He went to assign the stats.

[STR: 80 -> 100 MAX]

[SP: 40 -> 20]

[PRE: 120 -> 140 + 50]

[SP 20 -> 0]

Once he was done, he scrolled down the interface and tapped the Rankings tap.

At the bottom of the rankings, his current rank appeared.

[3151. Wraith - Level 45]
