Chapter 310 Am I Too Charming?
Maia was startled, her face reddening. He saw it, and his smile widened, “Are you hungry? What do you want to eat later?”
“G–Give me some space, Cedric.” He was just so imposing, especially when they were like that. She felt as if she had nowhere
to hide. She even sensed he wanted to fuse with her if he could.
“What’s the matter? Is your husband too charming?”
“How have I never known you’re this narcissistic, Cedric?”
Maia kept a distance from him. Then, she muttered, “I didn’t use to have a chance to get close to you. You didn’t have time for
me. It’s only natural that I didn’t know this about you.”
Cedric heard her mumblings. She was traumatized by what happened in the past. It was painful for him to see her like that, too.
He frowned and said, “You’re the only one who could get close to me. From here on out, I’ll make time for you to know me on a
deeper level.”
Cedric gave her a sly smile. He emphasized the word ‘deeper.‘ It was clear what he meant.
“Eww! I don’t want to know you on a deeper level. You can find some other ladies for that. Fiona’s with Vicky. I can ask Vicky to
bring her up. I think she’s more than happy to know you on a deeper level!”
Talking about Fiona reminded her of what she saw last night. Fiona was practically naked. Her attire barely covered her lady bits.
“Only you can know me on that level. As for Fiona...” Cedric sneered. He was obviously pissed off when Maia mentioned her. “I’ll
make her regret her actions!”
Someone knocked on his door at that moment.
“Baz is here.” He must’ve taken her suitcase up here, Maia thought.
“Go further in.” Cedric had no intention to let anyone else see her like this. She might’ve wrapped herself tightly with the blanket,
but it amped up her sexiness.

Maia glanced at him, “What’s the matter? Aren’t you going to let me greet my dear Baz?”

Cedric pinched her chin lightly, “You can go ahead and greet him if you want me to cut off an arm or a leg of his.”
“I’m just going to greet him, Cedric. Do you have to cut off his limbs? Are you this petty?”
“You would’ve been with another man if I had been generous.” He’d give no ground regarding the love of his life. He had to be
the pettiest man there ever was!
came out and saw Hope standing in a comer
“Hope?”
Hope smiled and said, “Fiona’s still with Vicky. Bez went over to relieve her. So, I bought you
your suitcase!”
Maia nodded. Hope looked at her before turning to Cedric, who was still sitting in four of his Laptop.
Then, Hope gave her a sly smile and whispered, “Are you and Cedric back together?”
Maia pinched her waist softly, “The company had arranged for you to try out a few miles for several television shows with big
production budgets. Also, you’re going to appear as a guest star in a few streaming series. Prepare yourself.”
There were only a few months until the year ended. Hope had finished more work than she was supposed to this year. So, she

“Oh, my.”
Maia smiled, looked at Hope, and pinched her cheeks, “There, there. This is non–negotiable.”
She was doing this for Hope’s good. There were simply too many competing celebrities who wanted to tear Hope down. The
entertainment industry wasn’t where everyone got their turn in the limelight.
This was the best move if she wanted to keep Hope’s position as the best actress. This way, she could reduce her workload, too.
Hope knew how competitive it was in this industry. Taking a three–month break would mean getting replaced by another
celebrity, and the fans wouldn’t be talking about her as much. It’s a taboo for people in her line of work.
“Are you using work to get back at me, Maia?” Hope looked at Maia pitifully.
“How about we set you up for some photoshoots?”
“Oh, no. Nuh–uh! Forgive me, Maia. Please don’t make me go for photoshoots.”
Hope hated it. She’d rather shoot ten more television shows before she went for a single photoshoot.
“Have you learned your lesson?” 1
Hope nodded immediately. Then, Baz knocked on the door and went into the room.
“Fiona’s right next door, Mr. Cedric. She’s all yours.” Baz looked at him respectfully. At the next moment, Cedric trained his gaze
at Maia, his hostility vanished and replaced by affection.
