Jake got up now.

He had spent enough for the day, and if he stayed any longer, then he would just be tempted to buy more.

Better leave now and miss out on whatever came next rather than stay and not buy, only lamenting later, or even worse, buy and lament on buying later, because he would not have any money left.

As he got up, the people next to him were confused. Why would someone who was so aggressive in bidding leave before the biggest items even came out?

But Jake knew at least one thing. The biggest item was not within his grasp. He could not afford an item like that even in the slightest.

The place for him to move was spacious, and he could easily leave his row without disturbing any of those already seated. He found his way to the exit, where an attendant was waiting for him.

"Baron King. Do you wish to complete your purchases? If you do not have the money on your person right now, then the deposit will be taken, and you will be banned from our establishment until the money is paid back with interest." the attendant said with a monotone voice.

Jake smiled and nodded, and the two left the huge hall to the corridor that was outside, and the door closed behind them.

Back in proper lighting, Jake felt a little more comfortable.

"Where are the items? I want to see them before paying for them." Jake said.

"They are this way, Baron." the attendant nodded as she led the way to another room. It was down the hallway, and this room was significantly smaller than the hall that they were in before, which was obvious. How many of those halls could fit in a store of this size?

There were others in the room, some like Jake, paying for their items, while others were attendants.

"Here are the two items that you have purchased, Baron King." the attendant brought the two items.

One was the rusty pole that no one was willing to bid on, and the other... well it was a necklace that no one was willing to bid on.

Both of his purchases were just things that no one was willing to bid on. It looked like Jake just bid on some things so that he didn't have to go home empty handed.

"Five hundred and one gold coins, right? Here." Jake took out a pouch with that exact number of coins, which was an extraordinary feature of the game, and handed it to the attendant, taking possession of the two items.

The first thing that he did was equip the necklace. The moment he did, he felt just a little luckier, but that was probably just him imagining things.

"This had better make my luck enough for this thing to be worth something." Jake murmured as he took a look at the rusty pole.

"This rusty pole was found in the depths of the sea, Baron. It is indestructible, and although it doesn't strengthen the owner, it is a wonderful addition to your collection." the attendant smiled.

"That is not what I'd hoped it to be," Jake said as he perused the pole.

He then scanned it with the most basic appraisal feature that everyone had.

[Error. Please take it to a cleric to know more.]

"Damn it. I bought it, and I still don't have the info yet. But if this really is something good, then I can't go to a player by any chance. I need to go to the temple and find out by begging some NPC's." Jake thought.

He looked at the time.

It had been two hours since the update concluded. He spent a whole hour in the auction house, and it just went by like a snap.

But he still had an hour left, because he delayed the time of the aggregation.

"Just about enough time to go to the temple and back." Jake thought as he nodded to the attendant and headed on out.

"One minute, Baron." the attendant called out.

"Is there anything else that I need to do?" Jake asked, raising his eyebrow. He paid, and did everything. There was no reason to stop him.

"Please, take this. It is a card for you, a valuable customer. You have proven your purchasing capability, and you will now be a priority member of the silver rank." the attendant said, smiling for the first time in their conversation.

"Really? That's awesome." Jake nodded.

"But I have to hurry." he said as he ran out the door, pocketing the card and the rusty pole in his hands.

He was surprised that he was made a priority member though. Being a priority member meant that when the time came, and the auctions were happening every month, even when the seats were almost filled, he would always have one, unless a gold or platinum ranked card holder swooped in.

He rushed through the forbidden streets and skidded to a halt in front of the two guards.

They moved aside, allowing him to pass onto the regular street, and he entered the crowd that was still in front of the forbidden street.

"Ah! The crowd. Hopefully it will decrease a little when people realise what it is that they need to enter this place. Well, I ain't gonna be that guy." Jake chuckled as he ran through the questions and players.

After all, what good would it do Jake if he told everyone the secret to how he entered the forbidden street? If they knew, then more and more people would enter the auction. That was more competition for him in the future. Sure, next month, people might know.

But it would be a few months before this information would become fully public, now that the first auction was over.

With the first auction now, there was probably not a single other player who knew about it, except for Myriad Arrows.

"Now. The temple. Where the hell is that?"
