71 Unexpected marriage proposal

Zi Han had never been this embarrassed in his entire life. He had been scolded by his teachers before and was even made to stand on one leg in front of everyone for making jokes in class. But this..... this was a whole new level of embarrassment.

What made it even worse was the fact that he was admonished in front of his enemy. Yi Chen had beat him in a fight then.... then he accidentally hit Yi Chen, got punished for it and now he was being humiliated by the professor in front of him.

Damn..... he was in the same situation as his grandfather. Like Zi Feiji he seemed to lose to his enemy easily.

“I..... uh,” stammered Zi Han but Prof. Quinn wouldn’t let him explain. He directly addressed Shorty instructing him to switch places with the vice class president.

If the professor only knew that he had just substituted a docile rabbit with a lioness he wouldn’t have made that suggestion.

Hela excitedly picked up her materials and swapped seats with Shorty. That smile on her face made her look like Christmas came early. She was so excited that she rubbed Shorty’s hair on the way.

This was her chance to show her best side to Cadet Han. Yi Chen hadn’t expected the lecturer to make such an absurd move. He clenched his teeth and decided not to pay attention to them.

Unfortunately, reality was far from expectation. His mind was concentrating on repairing the shaft coupling for the SS-level mech in front of him but his ears were especially drawn to the conversation happening a short distance away from them.

Zi Han was seriously studying the shaft coupling in front of him his expression like that of a knowledgable scholar with several meritorious certificates and prizes hanging over his head. Like this, he looked even more handsome making him quite hard to resist.

.....

Hela originally wanted to wait until class ended to talk to him but she couldn’t help it. With her folded hand propping up her chin she smiled at Zi Han. In a soft whisper, she said, “I know you are single.”

Zi Han who was taking the coupling shaft apart with his mental power suddenly lost control and the bolt fell to the floor with a loud clank. “Shit.....,” he muttered as he got up from the bar stool with his skirt swaying with his movements making it difficult for one to not make a double-take.

Hela leaned her body back to take a curious look and her brow arched upwards liking what she was seeing. His ass was indeed carved by the heavens to rob the most righteous person of their moral conduct. In translation, he was an even bigger temptation than the apple Eve was manipulated into eating.

Hela wasn’t the only one enjoying the view. Shannon and Shaun who were sitting behind them couldn’t help it. That ass and cinched waist were the very definition of sin. Shannon couldn’t help but lean on her torso on the workbench to take a look.

“Tsk, what’s so good about it,” whispered Li Ran who honestly couldn’t get it. It was just a man in a skirt. What was the big deal?

Yi Chen subconsciously opened his mouth to say something when he raised his head only to see Evan standing up to help Zi Han to pick up something. Evan was the blonde-haired silver-eyed elf. Okay fine, he wasn’t an elf but he sure had elf ears.

“Uh,” quietly exclaimed Yi Chen but he didn’t dwell on it so much otherwise he would go crazy.

Zi Han thanked the person before he sat down with little to no self-awareness. If he only knew that there were numerous pairs of eyes following his perky ass he might have fought his grandpa over this punishment.

As soon as he sat down Hela watched him a little smitten before saying, “You are single.... I am single so how about you try it with me?”

Zi Han, “.....”

He was just trying to learn and be a good student but it seemed anyone sitting beside him didn’t want to give him a moment of peace. Without looking at her he answered truthfully, “My grandfather gave me three rules before I enrolled.”

“Which are?” asked Hela a little interested.

“Well, one of them is that I stay away from anyone who can get pregnant and you vice class president.....” he said before turning his body in her direction, “are one such person.”

“Ha..... and what were the other two?” she curiously asked with the smile on her face getting deeper.

“Number two, stay away from the class president and three, no fighting,” he said with a slight quirk at the corner of his lips. She was curious to know what sort of conflict there was between Zi Han’s grandfather and Yi Chen but this wasn’t the right time to satisfy her curiosity.

“It seemed you already broke two of those rules so how about you break the last one?” she then proceeded to lean closer her gaze glancing at his skirt for a second before continuing, “We can arrange with our families and make a marriage contract for the future if you like. You don’t want to be pregnant neither do I so we can take things at a turtle’s pace.”

Forgive Hela for being so direct. This is why Yi Chen’s mother wasn’t too happy about her son finding a girl in the military. The moment anyone gets deployed it was difficult to determine whether they would live long enough to start a family hence when they meet a suitable match they would immediately lay their cards on the table.

Hela was very much interested hence she was direct. Zi Han was flattered but based on the Zi family history they were unlucky in love. Grandpa Zi was brokenhearted about someone that he didn’t even want to marry.

He chose to get a baby at the gene bank and stayed single forever. His mother was only married six months when she lost her husband and even now she was still torn apart.

With this kind of history, he didn’t even think about falling in love or marrying someone. “I am sorry but...” he said trying to come up with the least hurtful words he can think of when he heard an imperious voice hovering above him asking,

“But what?”

Zi Han, “QAQ”

Did he owe professor Quinn in his past life or something? This man was stuck to him like white on rice. Seeing that the culprit didn’t answer the lecturer pinched the bridge of his nose and before saying,
